Dr. Alexander Salamatian

DPT, PT
Physical Therapist

I grew up in Manchester CT, where I was home schooled until I went to college at age 16. My college career was long and filled with four complimentary degrees (Associate’s in Exercise Science, Associate’s in Liberal Arts / Chemistry, Bachelor’s in Health Science, and finally Doctorate of Physical Therapy). The sports I enjoy include: fencing, which I do here in Willimantic, and Ultimate Frisbee.

I received a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Connecticut in 2024. Before getting into physical therapy, I had some experience as a part-time fencing coach and a FedEx hard labor employee. These experiences give me insights that lead to creative solutions for complex problems. Additionally, I co-authored a manuscript that is currently under review with Physical Therapy Reviews and is awaiting publication.

My core values include: honesty, perseverance, independence, personal
growth, and responsibility.

“A man can change his stars.”
-A Knight’s Tale

I am a physical therapist. I perform patient evaluations, reevaluations, treatments, and discharges for all types of orthopedic and neurological injuries. I bring to the table up-to-date evidence-based practices based upon current physical therapy curricula. I believe patients don’t always feel like they’re being heard in our healthcare system and I think that’s an important component of a successful recovery and something I am passionate about in helping our patients.

I enjoy working at Carlson ProCare because the atmosphere and the coworkers are wonderful!
