Jason Kirk

Site Director, PT, ATC

I’m originally from Connecticut and have built my entire academic and professional career around sports medicine, movement science, and patient care. I earned my B.S. in Sport Science/Athletic Training from the University of Connecticut in 1998, followed by certification as an Athletic Trainer. Shortly after, I had the opportunity to work with the Baltimore Ravens Football Club as part of their preseason staff — an experience that strengthened my passion for high-level athletic rehabilitation. I went on to complete a B.S. in Allied Health in 2001 and an M.S. in Physical Therapy in 2002, both from UConn.

I spent two years in outpatient therapy before joining Carlson ProCare in 2004, where I served first as a staff clinician and then as the Site Director of the Meriden office for ten years. After that, I transitioned into Home Care for a decade, which gave me the flexibility to follow my son and daughter through their athletic careers in both high school and travel sports. In January 2025, I returned to Carlson ProCare to help launch and run our new Middletown clinic on Randolph Road — an exciting opportunity to reconnect with a team and company I’ve always valued.

With backgrounds in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, I enjoy working with patients of all ages and activity levels. I’m especially inspired by the challenge of helping injured athletes return to their sport or recreational activities, restoring not only their strength and mobility but also their confidence.

What I love most about Carlson ProCare is the exceptional quality of our therapists and staff. Everyone is committed to doing what’s best for our patients, and the team is always eager to learn, grow, and expand their knowledge to better serve the community.

I’m motivated by seeing patients regain high-level function — whether that means excelling in daily tasks or returning to the activities they love. Helping people move, live, and perform better is what keeps me going, even on tough days.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife of more than 20 years, as well as with our family and friends. I stay active, and you’ll often find me on the golf course or enjoying other outdoor activities.
